 CINNAMON COOKIES



1 cup butter-softened
1 ½ cups sugar
1 egg
1 ½ cups corn syrup
2 ¼ cups flour
1 1/8 tsp baking soda
3 Heaping tsp cinnamon

Heat oven to 350*
Cream together butter and sugar, mix in egg and corn syrup blending well.

Mix flour, baking soda and cinnamon, add to creamed mixture, mixing well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or light brown.

 BEST OATMEAL COOKIES


1 cup oats
¾ cup flour
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup walnuts or pecans
½ cup shortening
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp vanilla

Heat oven to 375*

Mix all ingredients at medium speed until well blended.

Drop by teaspoonfuls one inch apart on cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Let cool a little before removing from cookie sheet.

 CAJUN OATMEAL COOKIES


1 cup crisco or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup raisins ( optional )


In mixing bowl add eggs, sugars, soda, crisco , salt and flour.
Mix well.

Add oatmeal, vanilla and raisins. Mix well.

Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet

Bake at 350* until light brown.

 GRANNIE'S PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE


1 cup butter
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs-beaten
1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
1 cup bran
¾ cup oats
2 tsp baking soda


Melt butter. Beat together with the sugars, vanilla, peanut butter and eggs.

In another bowl, combine flour, bran, oats and baking soda.

Stir into butter mixture.

Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350* for 15-18 minutes.

Let cool some before removing from cookie sheet.

 UNBELIEVABLE COOKIES


1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg

Mix together thoroughly.

Roll into walnut size balls.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Flatten with fork , making crisscross.

Bake at 325* for 8-10 minutes.

THIS COOKIE IS VERY RICH AND FILLING!

2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups oatmeal powder, use blender to powder oats.
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar packed
1 tsp salt
8 oz hershey bar grated
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups walnuts or pecans

Cream the butter and both sugars.

Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix well.

Gradually add flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

Add chocolate chips, grated hershey bar and nuts.


Roll into balls and place two inches apart on cookie sheet.

Bake at 375* for 10 minutes.

 PEGGY'S (NOBAKE) CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES


½ cup milk
2 cups sugar
3 tbs cocoa
3 tbs peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup butter
3 cups oats

Wipe inside of large saucepan with butter below  rim.

Combine milk, sugar, cocoa, peanut butter and butter in saucepan.

Stir and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Boil for 1 ½ minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and oats.

Stir until well blended.

Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Cool before serving.

 PECAN PUFFS


1/2 pound butter
4 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup ground pecans
2 cups flour

Cream butter and sugar.

Add vanilla, pecans and flour.

Chill two hours.

Roll into small balls.

Bake in 350° oven for 25 minutes.

Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Roll a second time when cool.
