 Try this easy one dish meal.



CHICKEN CABBAGE STIR FRY


3 chicken breast cut in strips
1 tsp oil
3 cups cabbage, cut in ½ “ slices
3 tsp cornstarch
½ tsp ginger
¼ tsp garlic powder
½ cup water
3 tsp soy sauce

Heat oil in skillet to about 375 degrees.

Add chicken strips and stir fry until done.

Add cabbage and stir fry till cabbage is tender.

Mix rest of ingredients with water and mix until smooth. Stir into chicken mixture.

Cook til thickened and pieces are coated.

CHICKEN POT PIE


2-3 pound stewing hen
4 potatoes, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 303 can mixed vegetables
1 303 can whole kernel corn
1 can cream of celery soup
salt to taste
pepper to taste
cornstarch
2 cans biscuits


In dutch oven, boil chicken till done and remove to let cool.

Place potatoes and onions in broth from chicken; cook till tender.

Meanwhile, bone the chicken. Replace chicken in pot and add remaining vegetables and cook till done. Then add cream of celery soup, salt and pepper.

Add enough cornstarch for desired thickness.

Remove from heat, place biscuits on top.

Place in oven and bake according to directions on biscuits.

 Here's a quick and easy meal


CROCK POT ROAST

4-5 lb beef roast
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can beer
1 can sliced carrots or (4 carrots cut in pieces)
salt and pepper to taste
potatoes

Place thawed roast, carrots, potatoes in crock pot.

Add soup mix on top of roast.

Pour beer on soup mix.

Cook all day checking to make sure you have enough liquid.

Use gravy as is or thicken with cornstarch.

You can also add (to your taste) garlic and/or oregano.

 Easy and very good


BEEF AND BROCCOLI RICE


¼ cup butter plus 2 tbs
2 lbs round steak, cut in 1/8” pieces
1 tbs garlic powder
1 box beef-vermicelli rice mix
1 cup onion chopped
1 pkg frozen broccoli cuts-thawed
5 cups water

Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Saute beef and garlic till meat is browned. Tranfer meat to a bowl.

Add salt and pepper to meat drippings.

Combine rice mix, onion and rest of butter. Brown rice mixture until golden brown in medium sauce pan.

Stir in water and seasoning packet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low.

Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

Stir in broccoli.

Cook 3-5 minutes or till rice is tender.

 Return meat to skillet and heat through.
